MISSION
We are committed to providing a fun, safe, positive, and nurturing Child Development Center for the personal growth of our special needs children and their family.
What is Sensory Time and how will it benefit my child/children?
SensoryTime is a therapeutically designed child development center to help provide special needs children and their families a nurturing place of acceptance to grow, develop, and maintain skills; whether it is sensory processing skills, social skills, or motor development skills. Skill development happens through repetition, because of this SensoryTime has a monthly fee similar to that of Gymnastics, Dance, Martial Arts, etc. However, the children and their families/caregivers can come as often as they want.
What can children, and parents, expect to find at SensoryTime? What services and resources do you offer?
Children and parents can expect to interact together in a variety of skill development areas including visual, auditory and textural. Occasionally we have speakers visit the center to provide information in areas of nutrition, communication, and any other areas of parent/child resources we can to assist parents with their journey. We currently provide a wide variety of literature for parents and will assist in any and all areas of concern.
My child does not have special needs, can they still attend your facility?
There are many children that attend our facility who do not have special needs and are a great model for our special needs children. We encourage any and all children to come to our facility as growth and development for them and their parents.
Can I drop off my kids and come back later?
At this time we are not a drop off center, rather we require that the guardian stay with their child throughout their stay with us.
Lauren Allums C.O.T.A.
Founder of SensoryTime
Having worked in Occupational Therapy since 1996, I have always been passionate about helping families find resources in their community to better serve their children with physical, social, and emotional disabilities. In these efforts, I realized there was a need for a center that could provide continued growth experiences outside of the therapy and school environments. I hope you agree that SensoryTime does just that.
